Although the wave forecast wasn’t particularly promising, I was hoping that this week’s session would be better than the last several outings. This was my 7th morning of surfing at Kashima (seventh consecutive Wednesday to be precise), so I was hoping that it would be a lucky day…
When I arrived at just before 7 am, here’s how it looked.
A few surfers and a stand-up paddler guy. This paddler guy was probably the same guy that was here a week before.
My friend, a short boarder, decided to use his fun board because the waves weren’t looking so hot. I always use my 7′6″ fun board, but on days like this are better suited for long boards. We were in the water for a couple of hours, but only had a couple of good waves. It seemed like every 15 minutes or so, a decent wave would come along.
