The winds were strong and the surf was terrible at Yoshida, Shizunami and Kashima. We decided to check out Omaezaki.

Nice looking waves! Unfortunately, there was a Nippon Surfing Association (NSA) contest being held. Tons of surfers were in the water. A little bit too crowded and competitive for us. Maybe next year! <ha ha>
Today was Wednesday - my official surf day. I was hoping to have a good outing today. First stop - Yoshida at around 6 am.


Not too bad. I caught a fair number of waves. At around 9 am, some more surfers arrived and that Shizunami was even better…
