Not great but at least it was better than last week.
These pictures were taken from the driver’s seat (obviously)

Didn’t get much better…did some paddling practice around the tetra-pods.

Another peaceful (ie. flat) day at Yoshida…

Click on the picture above to see Mr. Y demonstrate the longboard toss?!?

At least it wasn’t raining!
Here’s Mr. S. showing how it should be done!

Hard to believe that is was the 13th of the month and that I hadn’t been surfing yet. I tried to go out on the 7th but the conditions were terrible (heavy rain, strong winds and nasty waves) all the way from Yoshida to Omaezaki. Naturally, I checked all the points in between.
I was keen to get in the water. The forecast at several sites looked promising and Mr. T predicted good waves…

As the morning passed, the waves got better. It was a nice morning of surfing!
School’s now in full swing, so I can comfortably enjoy going surfing in the mornings again..
.

As you can see, not exactly crowded… wonder why?
How would today compare with yesterday? I imagined that it would be an average small-ish day at Yoshida.

One of the local longboarders that I regularly see in action. Don’t know his name (yet).
One of my favourite days of week is Wednesday because it is my official surfing day (unless I have a pesky department meeting).
The websites at several of the local shops predicted monster waves – would they be correct?!?
First stop – Yoshida!
