A little bit better than yesterday, but not much better. I debated going to Katahama because of the slight wind. Some of the weekday locals were also thinking that too. A few phone calls were made and we decided to stay.
As the tide changed, the waves got better…much better actually.
Here are a few pictures I took during a break around 8:30:

A few of the local longboarders showing how to ride these smaller waves.
Not exactly a good day for surfing…

I think that I can count with my fingers how many waves I caught today…
When I was in the parking lot talking, I noticed these two ducks in a large puddle in the middle of the parking lot.

As you can see, they didn’t like having their picture taken and flew away.
Not a good day for surfing – heavy rain with a bit of thunder and lightning mixed in. Apparently, it was good for fishing though…

It’s a little bit blurry because of the rain, but all of the spots on the horizon are fishing boats!!

Another beautiful morning at the beach.

Not great but at least it was better than last week.
These pictures were taken from the driver’s seat (obviously)

Didn’t get much better…did some paddling practice around the tetra-pods.

Another peaceful (ie. flat) day at Yoshida…

Click on the picture above to see Mr. Y demonstrate the longboard toss?!?

At least it wasn’t raining!
Here’s Mr. S. showing how it should be done!

A rainy day at the beach.
