It was a beautiful day today so I finally got around to fixing the flat tire on my mountain bike. After my morning class, I decided to check out more of the cycling road along the ocean during my 3-hour lunch break.
It was about 11 am, so I didn’t expect much activity, but I was pleasantly surprised…
The first thing I saw was a couple of old people trying to fly some sort of kite. I should have taken a picture, but I hoped that when I passed on the way back that they would have the thing airborne. I was wrong. When I passed on my way back to the university, they were packing it up. I guess I should have taken a picture when I had the chance. Oh well.
I knew that there was a lighthouse so I thought I’d check it out. I don’t remember the name of it, but here it is.
Despite it being around 11 am on a weekday, there was quite a bit of activity. In addition to the would-be kite flyers, I saw sunbathers, fishermen, cyclists, walkers, joggers and even a scuba diver. I briefly talked to the scuba diver and he told me that there were lots of fish to be had. He was after a particular kind of fish, but was unlucky today and didn’t get any. (He told that the name of the fish in Japanese, but I didn’t understand the name. Apparently, it is quite valuable these days).
They say that a picture is worth a 1000 words, so here are another 3000 words for your reading pleasure!
