Two in a row – Yoshida (July 17)

After having a good time at the beach yesterday, I was determined to go again today.  The wave forecast showed that the conditions would be similar, if not even a little bit better than yesterday.  The waves were small but certainly good enough for me.  The weather was also good – sunny with a few clouds. We arrived at the beach just after 6:30 and I took these snapshots.

There were a few more shortboarders than yesterday – but still less than 15 people in the water.  Yesterday, the wind picked up around 7:00 o’clock but today the wind was cooperative and the waves actually got better as the morning progressed.  At around 7:30, almost half of the people – probably becuase of their pesky jobs!  I was able to surf until just after 8:00 – I also had to work.  My first class on Friday begins at 10:40 and the traffic can be a little unpredictable on weekdays.  School is almost out for summer vacation, but I’m sure that I’ll be having some Friday sessions in the fall!  (Of course, I’ll be going to Kashima instead of Yoshida)
