With it being almost 2 weeks since my last surf session, I was happy to be able to get back to the beach. I actually wanted to go yesterday but I was too jet lagged to go. I actually slept about 16 hours straight! Many of you probably remember that the official surfing season in Shizuoka is from the last weekend of June to the last weekend of August. Now that it is September, I have several options available now … Shizunami, Kashima and of course Yoshida. Where will everyone be these days?
Here’s what I saw when I arrived at just after 6 am:
Not the best of conditions – there were more boats in the water than surfers. Not that surprising for a weekday with small waves I suppose. Nothing interesting to report really – it was nice to get back in the water. Still quite warm – a few shirtless surfers still out there.
