Respect for the Aged Day (September 15th)

Today was a national holiday here in Japan – Respect for the Aged Day (Keiro no Hi), so I expected there to be massive crowds like yesterday.  As a result, I wanted to get up good and an early today.  Also, the waves were really good early yesterday morning.  So, I left the house at around 4:30 am in an effort to beat the crowds.

Here’s what it looked like when I arrived at 5:30 – already a lot more people there than a regular Monday but quite a lot fewer than yesterday.  Unfortunately, the waves were also smaller than yesterday too.

Here’s what it looked like around 7 am.  A little better, but not much.
